FAQs

Does Resilience Lab accept insurance?

Yes, Resilience Lab accepts and is actively taking on clients that are in-network with our insurance providers. At this time, we accept United Health Care, Optum Behavioral Health, Oscar, Oxford, UMR, and Harvard Pilgrim. Coverage depends on your individual plan and benefits, but our in-house billing department will help you verify your benefits to understand your coverage.
If you have another insurance provider, we are happy to work with you to optimize insurance reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. If there is reason to believe your insurance company is not authorizing appropriate reimbursement to you, we will help you with filing complaints or appeals.

Does Resilience Lab accept out-of-network benefits?

Yes, Resilience Lab accepts network benefits from a range of insurance providers. Many PPO plans provide out-of-network benefits which means the insurance company will reimburse you directly for therapy sessions you’ve attended at Resilience Lab.
If you are unsure about your out-of-network coverage, our billing department can help you identify your benefits.
Resilience Lab’s billing department can help you understand: 1) If your insurance plan offers out-of-network mental health benefits and 2) What your out-of-network deductible is. If you have any questions or concerns about your benefits, please let us know or call your insurance provider directly.

What if I don’t have insurance. Can I still see a therapist?

Yes, we accept patients without insurance. Find information on our services and pricing under “Therapy” or call 1 833 775 6252.

Does Resilience Lab bill for contact outside in-person sessions (ex. phone calls, texts and/or emails?)

No, we do not bill for contact outside in-person sessions unless the contact period exceeds 15 minutes or is a life threatening emergency.

When is payment for each session due?

Payment for each session is due at the time of the visit. Resilience Lab accepts all major credit cards and flexible spending accounts however, we do not accept cash, check or money order.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you can no longer make your appointment. No shows or appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be billed at the full rate. However, we do understand that emergencies happen, so fees can be waived at the clinician’s sole discretion. Please note however that insurance companies do not reimburse for any missed appointments.

What if I’m running late to my appointment?

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will still see you, but we cannot guarantee extra time beyond your scheduled appointment time slot and you will be billed for the full appointment.

Do you provide independent evaluations? How can I obtain one?

If a comprehensive report is requested for a school district, legal matters or for another purpose, we ask that payment be made in full prior to releasing the report. Sometimes these reports are needed urgently. Please let us know if that is the case and we will attempt to work with you in order to meet your deadlines. Billing for independent evaluations is done on an hourly basis or via a flat fee negotiated with the requestor or school district, if they are covering the expense. Contact a care coordinator at 1 833 775 6252  with inquires about obtaining independent evaluations.
