Life has a way of breaking us down. Oftentimes, our past traumas, discrimination, anxiety and depression have a way of convincing us that we are weak or not good enough. My goal as a therapist is to help you discover and enhance your strengths, while encouraging you to use them to your advantage. You are the expert in your own life and happiness; my job is to help you uncover what that means for you. I am passionate about providing a warm, non judgemental, empathetic space for clients to safely explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a way that encourages growth, healing and improved quality of life.
I can offer a new perspective, help build insight and find tools to help clients move throughout the world. I am most inspired by my clients’ dedication, resilience and growth throughout the therapeutic process. I have worked with a diverse population of clients, including adolescents and adults of varying identities. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, self esteem issues, racism-related struggles, and life transitions. I am an identity affirming, anti-oppressive, relationally oriented therapist with an eclectic therapeutic style. I use a combination of various interventions to provide tailored services and best support clients’ individual needs. I have experience implementing cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, mindfulness, narrative and motivational interviewing techniques.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with my Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.
